Urban population is on the rise in India. Together with it is the growth of urban-specific challenges like atmospheric pollution, health issues, traffic congestion, overpopulation, etc. India is listed as the third most obese country in the world, with one in five men or women being obese. It is the need of the hour to chalk out strategies to make our cities liveable. Liveable Cities-India is an initiative in this direction to make urban centres inclusive, people-friendly and healthy.
