ESAF is providing relief kits to migrant labourers, destitute, and marginalised communities in Thrissur Corporation. In Mulankunnathukavu grama panchayat, ESAF visited 234 migrant labourers and distributed food kits to them. Alagappa Nagar grama panchayat in Amballur is another area where there are labour camps. ESAF visited 3 labour camps and distributed food kits to 84 families. In Viyyur, ESAF distributed food kits to 50 migrant families. Our team also distributed food kits to cancer patients and the destitute here. ESAF is working in partnership with the local government bodies at all these places. Police officers of the local station, health inspectors from the respective Primary Health Centres, ASHA and Nirbhaya workers, and ward members were present during the distribution. A food kit consists of rice, atta, sugar, tea, oil, dal, pulses, onion and potato. The food kits were prepared by the concerted efforts of ESAF Society, ESAF SFB and Cedar Retail.
