Livable Cities is an advocacy project for livable and inclusive cities in India. The project is spread across the cities of Guwahati, Nagpur, Bengaluru, Cochin, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram. Working with the local government bodies, civic bodies, schools, the project aims at bringing policy-level changes in making cities and public spaces to be inclusive and disabled-friendly.
The project supports local self governments in creating inclusive public spaces, conducting open street campaigns and events to create the awareness among public for the need of inclusive public spaces, promotion of local markets, Advocating for urban agriculture, etc.
Under this programme there are various activities like the 'Beach for all' campaign to make all beaches inclusive, cycle rallies and open street event in different cities involving the local communities and resident associations to create awareness.
